Let's Take A Stroll Down Conspiracy Lane With Some Crazy Ohio State Fans
You’ve heard all about Urban Meyer. You’ve seen the photos and videos from the “rally” for the coach on administrative leave. But have you taken a stroll down the dark web populated by Ohio State fans? The scary parts of Twitter, Facebook, and message boards? No? Well, let me be your guide.
Today, we will not be going too deep. The point of this tour is to give a bit of an overview of the crazy conspiracy theories that a small minority of Ohio State fans believe in.
Brett McMurphy Conspiracy:
As we saw during the Urban Meyer “rally,” Brett McMurphy is not very popular right now in the state of Ohio:
For some odd reason, Ohio State fans believe they have been targeted by Brett McMurphy. Yesterday, McMurphy changed his cover photo to the infamous one taken on Monday evening:
Funny, right? Nope, just another piece of evidence that is exposing Brett McMurphy mission to take down Ohio State:
ESecPN:
Folks have been complaining about ESPN’s apparent “SEC bias” for a long time. In all reality, ESPN does have an SEC bias, but that’s because they are a business that owns the SEC Network and rights to SEC football/basketball games. Ohio State fans have concluded because of that fact, ESPN has this grand conspiracy to take down Ohio State, a direct competitor to the SEC.
This was even seen at the Urban “rally:”
This is weird, because of Brett McMurphy’s role in all of this. McMurphy, the main reporter in all of this, was fired by ESPN last year. ESPN’s biggest role in this was bringing Zach Smith on SportsCenter to defend himself.
