Vegas has always been known as the sports betting capital of America. The reason was simple: they had a monopoly. Unfortunately for Nevada, that monopoly is slowing going away. Currently, there are 9 states that are accepting sports betting. Nobody has been more successful than New Jersey:

Some updates on states where Stoolies reside.
New York: Currently, sports betting is legal in New York, but limited to upstate casinos and casinos on tribal ground. Online betting is still illegal in New York. You can blame Cuomo for that.
Massachusetts: The House of Representatives delayed the sports betting bill in April. They've been stalled ever since. They'll have until November of 2019 to pass any of the three bills currently in circulation. If they do ratify it, a launch date in early 2020 will occur.
