BlackJack's Week Four NFL Winners Brought to you by FanDuel

Alright brother, last week we went a glorious 9-0 in the NFL. That is about as good as it gets in this line of work. That is, unless you do it two weeks in a row. That is what we set out to do this week. Nothing less that wins will suffice. We will be great because there is no choice but for us to be great.  There are a lot of games out there that I like, so let’s not waste any more time, let’s do this thing.

Week Four Winners

Tennessee Titans v Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens (-7)

Cleveland has not lived up to pre-season expectations (shocking), but this is still too many points for a divisional game. Baltimore has looked very good to start the year, there’s no doubt about that. Having said that, Cleveland will be the best defense they’ve faced so far this season. I expect the Browns D to be able to make life difficult enough for Lamar Jackson and company, so that Cleveland keeps this within a touchdown.

THE PICK: Cleveland +7

Pittsburgh Steelers v New England Patriots

New England Patriots (-7) at Buffalo Bills

I am a Bills fan. Have been my entire life. I hope the Bills win this game, I want the Bills to win this game. The Bills won’t win this game. I told myself last Sunday that if this line was anything under 10, I had to take New England. I have to. Buffalo’s defense will keep this close, but Josh Allen will get roughed up by the Pats, who might have the best defense in football this year. I want it to happen, but it won’t. The Pats win by more than the score we have to lay.

THE PICK: New England -7

Tennessee Titans v Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers (-15.5) at Miami Dolphins

Do I really have to write anything here? Really? The Dolphins, by every metric, are one of the worst football teams we have ever seen on an NFL field. They are openly and flagrantly waiving the white flag on this season. I don’t love the Chargers the way some people do, but with Melvin Gordon returning and the talent they already possess, the Chargers should have this number covered by halftime.

THE PICK: Los Angeles -15.5

Houston Texans v New Orleans Saints

Carolina Panthers at Houston Texans (-4)

The Texans have played close games in all three of their starts thus far in the 2019 season. I expect this one to be different. Kyle Allen played very well in his first start last week. That was against Arizona, at home. This is on the road against a quality team. The Texans defense will make his life considerably harder, and offensively I like the Texans to do their thing against the Panthers.

THE PICK: Houston -4

NFL Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles

Washington Redskins at New York Giants (-3)

This game has overreaction written all over it, on both sides. Football fans are wildly excited by the debut of Daniel Jones and his comeback win in Tampa last Sunday. There’s good reason to be excited about Jones, too. He played well in the pre-season, was strong in his debut and looks like he belongs in the NFL. However, the Giants defense is still god awful. They are still without Saquon Barkley for the foreseeable future. Their receiving corps is still woeful. The Redskins got bashed by the Bears, but Case Keenum has been decent other than that game. Their defense also played pretty well against Chicago, it was turnovers that killed the Redskins against the Bears last Monday night. I actually think the Redskins win this thing outright.

THE PICK: Washington ML +130

DENVER BRONCOS VS LOS ANGELES RAMS

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Los Angeles Rams (-9.5)

The Bucs just cannot find a kicker, can they? They lose last week because of missed kicks, but there were some positives to take out of that game. Jameis Winston did move the offense at times, and the defense showed it could pressure the QB for spells. The Rams, are the Rams, except they have been a low voltage version of the team we know and love. I think both these teams put the ball in the end zone several times this Sunday in Lala land. I like points here.

THE PICK: Over 49

Houston Texans v Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys (-2.5) at New Orleans Saints

The Saints played really well last week, getting a win on the road at Seattle. Teddy Bridgewater showed why the Saints wanted him back enough to make him the highest paid backup QB in the NFL. Having said that, the Cowboys do not have a flaw that has been visible through three games. They can run the ball, they can throw it, their line play is excellent, the defense is aggressive. Their schedule has been weak, but they have done exactly what they need to. I like them to get it done here as well.

THE PICK: Dallas -2.5

Alright let’s keep the energy flowing, brother and cash these tickets!
