BlackJack's College Football Saturday Card

It’s Saturday and that means one thing and one thing only. College Football. Big Tennessee and Brandon Walker might kill each other over the course of the day. But in the words of the legendary Stu Feiner, the only thing we will be killing is your bookmaker. We don’t have an enormous slate of games, but the ones we have I like a lot. Let’s dive in and attack this son of a bitch.

Saturday Winners:

NFL: OCT 08 Colts at Texans

Mississippi State (-6.5) at Tennessee

The Barstool Battle of the South takes place today in Knoxville. The Bulldogs have absolutely had their share of problems, no doubt. But Tennessee…that’s a whole other set of problems. Brian Maurer provided them a spark at QB last week against Georgia before leveling off in the second half and ultimately being knocked out of the game after a vicious hit. Maurer may be the real deal but the play-calling and coaching at UT is still a mess.

THE PICK: Mississippi State -6.5

Mississippi v Alabama

Alabama (-17) at Texas A&M

We saw A&M play Clemson tough at home and still never really be a threat in that game. I think Alabama comes out guns blazing looking to put some room between Clemson and themselves with a common opponent. A&M is good, but they aren’t in this class.

THE PICK: Alabama -17

Utah State v Wake Forest

Louisville at Wake Forest (-6.5)

Wake has been a reliable bet this season because of their potent offense. Louisville has been a bit of a surprise in year one of their rebuild under Scott Satterfield, but they are still a ways away from being truly competitive in the ACC. I think Wake’s offense is too much for the Cardinals to keep up with.

THE PICK: Wake Forest -6.5

Arkansas at Kentucky (-6.5)

Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC and one of the worst Power Five teams in America. Additionally, today is the day Kentucky is honoring the “Hefty Lefty” Jared Lorenzen in Lexington. Emotions will be running high amongst the Wildcats and their faithful, I expect a trouncing of the Razorbacks.

THE PICK: Kentucky -6.5

NCAA FOOTBALL: NOV 22 Louisville at Notre Dame

USC at Notre Dame (-11.5)

Notre Dame should take this game, but USC’s defense should keep them around. In fact, both teams strength is their defense. I think the total in this one is a little inflated. The Notre Dame offense has talent, for sure, but this game feels like a 27-20 type of affair. I like the under.

THE PICK: Under 59.5

Let’s cash these damn tickets, baby!
