It's Time To Make Money - What Over/Under Win Total To Bet For Every Single NBA Team

Alright, we’re less than a week away from the start of the season. Perhaps you’ve had a good football year, perhaps you’re depositing money again right or perhaps you followed my 20-10 projections last year.

Either way it’s time to start putting bets in for NBA futures. All numbers are coming from our friends at PointsBet. That said, we’re just going to focus on win totals and no other futures for the NBA right now. Let me know your favorite bet.

Eastern Conference

Atlanta Hawks (33.5)
Pick: Over –
They won 29 games last year and get year 2 Trae Young? Yeah, sign me up for this team. Plus, let’s remember they are playing for Vince Carter’s retirement tour. That’s gotta be worth a win or two.

Boston Celtics (48.5)
Pick: Under –
One of my favorite bets last year was the Celtics under. I’m rolling with it again this year. They won 49 last year and trade Kyrie and Al Horford for Kemba and Enes Kanter? That’s not an improvement. Yeah, sure chemistry might be better, but I’ll take the under.

Brooklyn Nets (43.5)
Pick: Over –
If Kyrie can stay healthy, this team is going to win 45 games. I like Dinwiddie, I like LeVert a ton too. They know there are some expectations with Kyrie there and Durant coming. Give me 45 wins.

Charlotte Hornets (23.5)
Pick: Under –
This team stinks and loses Kemba. Simple.

Chicago Bulls (32.5)
Pick: Over –
Alright, Red Line Radio boys. Let’s get crazy on this over. Add some experience with Thad Young and Otto Porter for a whole year. Throw in the underrated Tomas Satoransky coming over in free agency and they can get to 33.

Cleveland Cavs (24.5)
Pick: Under –
This team is going to be HORRIFIC defensively. My fear is they end up playing the young guys the entire year and steal some cheap late season wins. But, you have to assume they’ll trade Kevin Love. Let’s not forget they need to stay in the top-10 for next year’s draft or they lose the pick.

Detroit Pistons (37.5)
Pick: Over –
Can Blake Griffin stay healthy? If he’s healthy, this team is getting to .500 again. I’ll bet on Blake of the Year.

Indiana Pacers (46.5)
Pick: Over –
They played without Oladipo for 46 games last year and still won 48. I’ll trust their depth to get to 47 this year. I really hate that the Pacers aren’t hatable.

Miami Heat (43.5)
Pick: Over –
Jimmy Butler is going to play his ass off. Tyler Herro is a walking bucket. Goran Dragic is in roughly his 45th year at Miami. But, the guy that I love is Bam. He’s going to take a monster jump this year, especially without Whiteside there. I hate even more the Heat aren’t hatable.

Milwaukee Bucks (57.5)
Pick: Over –
Giannis is a freak. This is the best team in the East. See my previous statement about Giannis.

New York Knicks (26.5)
Pick: Under –
I was tempted to go over here just because these dudes are going to play their ass off and Fizdale is a good coach. But, there will be growing pains with them trying to figure out how to use RJ Barrett as a playmaker. It will take some time for the pieces to fit but the number is right on.

Orlando Magic (41.5)
Pick: Over –
The Magic division SUCKS. They won it by winning 42 games and Kemba now moves out of the division? Yeah, they can get to 42 again easily, especially if Fultz turns into anything.

Philadelphia 76ers (54.5)
Pick: Over –
This feels like a real make or break year for this franchise. They need to be the No. 1 seed or make a run in the playoffs. Perhaps both. There are questions of how well Simmons and Embiid fit together. This defense is going to be nasty, but there are fears in terms of shooting. Get to 55 though.

Toronto Raptors (46.5)
Pick: Under –
No Kawhi to bail them out. Pretty simple. I love Nick Nurse. They have a lot of nice role players, but can Lowry coming off an injury really be the guy to get you to 47 wins? Remember, they are in the same division as Philly too.

Washington Wizards (26.5)
Pick: Under –
Really wish they just traded Bradley Beal. That said, I don’t know if their ceiling is that high with just Beal right now.

Western Conference

Dallas Mavericks (40.5)
Pick: Under –
Yeah, whatever. They have Luka and Kristaps. Can Kristaps stay healthy? I’m not buying into this hype just yet. Give me 38 wins.

Denver Nuggets (52.5)
Pick: Over -
I’ve gone back and forth on the play here, but I’ll lean over. This team rarely loses at home (just 7 losses last year). They add Michael Porter Jr., who can be a real difference maker. They’ll be playing for homecourt advantage in the playoffs late.

Golden State Warriors (47.5)
Pick: Over –
Steph Curry getting to do Steph Curry things. Everyone down on the Warriors and saying they’ll miss the playoffs? I’ll go the other way. Give me 48 wins with Steph having an absurd year.

Houston Rockets (53.5)
Pick: Over –
They’ve talked about how important the No. 1 seed is to them. You have Russ and Harden. I actually don’t think there will be as much of a gap in terms of time adjusting to playing together since they have before. 54 wins? Yep.

LA Clippers (53.5)
Pick: Under –
Between Paul George missing some time and Kawhi being on load management, I could see this team winning 51-53 games which gives us the under. That said, the playoffs are WAY more important to them. Love this team.

LA Lakers (50.5)
Pick: Under –
Can Anthony Davis stay healthy for the entire year? Now you have Kuzma battling an injury too. We saw what happened the moment LeBron went down last year. Would it really be shocking if they won 48 games?

Memphis Grizzlies (27.5)
Pick: Under –
Ja and Jaren Jackson are going to be a ton of fun, but that’s about it.

Minnesota Timberwolves (35.5)
Pick: Under –
The move to Ryan Saunders makes a ton of sense and the guys love him. But, they seem pretty much stuck in the same spot. KAT is an All-Star and I don’t trust Wiggins. 36 wins last year, they could drop 1 game.

New Orleans Pelicans (39.5)
Pick: Over –
I’m buying into the hype. They just seem to fit so well and Zion is going to be a freak. Plus JJ Redick never misses the playoffs – literally, look at his seasons. Give me 43 wins.

Oklahoma City Thunder (31.5)
Pick: Under –
There’s just way too much going on here. Will they trade Chris Paul? If so, what do they get that can help right away? Do they flip Gallo at some point?

Phoenix Suns (28.5)
Pick: Under –
Yes, they got Ricky Rubio to help at that point guard spot, but until the Suns actually do something and win 30 games I’ll bet unders every year on them.

Portland Trail Blazers (46.5)
Pick: Over –
I love the Blazers over this year. Dame and CJ aren’t going to miss time. Nurkic should be back at some point. They aren’t going to do load management or anything like that. You’re telling me they just have to get 47 wins? It seems low, so it’s fishy, but give me all the over.

Sacramento Kings (37.5)
Pick: Over –
Another year of De’Aaron Fox and him jumping into that top-25 player in the league? Yep. Love the shooting around him with Buddy and Bogdanovic. They won 39 last year and sort of fell apart a bit. They can get 39 again this year.

San Antonio Spurs (46.5)
Pick: Over –
Blindly trusting Pop and not getting burned betting Spurs under is profitable.

Utah Jazz (53.5)
Pick: Under –
The Jazz have gotten off to slow starts before. Yes, Mike Conley is an upgrade but there’s minimal frontcourt scoring. Don’t get me wrong, this team is good. But, I’m thinking 50 wins.
