Let's Start The Weekend Right, With Some Winners

Finally. Finally we bounced back with a good night. Last night was a 4-1 night, with a +145 winner in Nashville. That was what we needed. Now we can try to keep this going and generate momentum heading into the weekend. I love it. I feel alive today. I am ready to attack this slate with the fire of a thousand suns. Let’s fucking go.

WINNERS:

New York Islanders v New York Rangers

New York Islanders (-127) at Ottawa Senators

The Islanders are on the second of a back to back, I get that. But the Sens are trash. Pure and utter trash. The Isles are hot and have won five in a row. I can’t imagine Ottawa getting the better of the Islanders right now.

THE PICK: Islanders ML

Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Pelicans (-2.5)

The Pelicans nearly upset the defending champion Raptors on opening night, but ultimately they fell short in overtime. Now they get the Mavericks in their home opener. The Pels will be a great league pass team, but the Mavs are legitimately good with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. I’ll take the points.

THE PICK: Mavericks +2.5

Houston Astros (-137) at Washington Nationals

I might be an idiot here, but I still think the Astros are going to make this a series. The Nats have been great, but this could be a spot for Houston. Zack Greinke has dominated DC in his career and I think he’ll do the same tonight. I also think with two relative soft throwers like Greinke and Anibal Sanchez on the mound we may see more hits and runs.

THE PICK: Astros ML AND Over 8 Runs.

USC Trojans (-11.5) at Colorado Buffaloes

The Trojans have been up and down and they have dealt with a massive amount of injuries. This is just not a good spot for the men of Troy. Traveling to Boulder is never easy, let alone for a primetime Friday night game. Laviska Shenault, Jr is finally back fully healthy. I think the Buffs absolutely keep it close, and I would’t hate a sprinkle on the ML at +325.

THE PICK: Colorado +10.5

Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers (-4.5)

This is nuts. Kyle Kuzma is still injured. The Lakers still have no depth behind LeBron and AD. This season could take a turn on them that they doesn’t even know is coming. Fading the Lakers is going to be profitable year round.

THE PICK: Jazz +4.5

Let’s cash these tickets, baby!
