BlackJack's NFL Week Eight Winners by FanDuel

Yesterday was a successful day in college football for us. But we can’t dwell on that. We can’t dwell on the successes on collegiate battlefields, we can’t dwell on the success of betting the Astros two games in a row. No. We must refocus and rededicate ourselves to the NFL slate that is ahead of us. That is precisely what I have done. I must be honest with you. There’s not a ton I love here, but there is enough. Let’s focus our efforts on what looks good and let’s get some wins.

BUT. Before we go any further here, let’s chat for a second. If you live in the beautiful states of New Jersey, West Virginia or Pennsylvania and you are betting anywhere other than FanDuel, what are you thinking??? FanDuel is now offering new customers a risk free bet up to $500 when you use the promo code STOOL. That’s right, a FREE bet up to $500 for new customers when you use promo code STOOL. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

NFL SUNDAY WINNERS:

NFL: SEP 29 Redskins at Giants

New York Giants at Detroit Lions (-6.5)

The Lions are in a weird spot. They have been more competitive this season than I think most of us thought they would be. Yet, we sit here in Week Eight and they have surprisingly traded away Quandre Diggs which, according to rumor and innuendo, has their locker room displeased. Also, the Lions main flaw is they are susceptible to the run. The Giants, obviously, can run the ball quite well with Saquon Barkley. I think the Giants stay close here, and hell, maybe pull the upset.

THE PICK: New York Giants +6.5

NFL: SEP 08 49ers at Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Tennessee Titans (-2.5)

I like Ryan Tannehill. I think the Titans are better off long term with him as their starter as opposed to Marcus Mariota. Having said that, this is a bad spot for Tennessee. Yes, they got a win over the Chargers last week, but really they should have lost that game. Also the Bucs are off a bye, and Bruce Arians was excellent in his last stint as a Head Coach off a bye week. I think the Bucs have enough here to get the job done.

THE PICK: Tampa Bay +2.5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Los Angeles Rams

Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Rams (-11)

The Bengals are not good at all. The worst part about their team is they are exceptionally challenged offensively. The defense generally holds up but they can’t score. That won’t get any easier with Jalen Ramsey a member of the Rams. I think the Rams hammer the Bengals here.

THE PICK: Los Angeles -11

Arizona Cardinals v Cincinnati Bengals

Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints (-12)

This is simply way too many points. Drew Brees is expected to play his first game since injuring his thumb. While having Brees back is great, he may be a little rusty. Also, hand up here, I though Kliff Kingsbury was going to be an idiot and an abysmal failure, he has not been either. He has been creative and kept the Cardinals in games. Their offensive line has been markedly better and allowed them to run the ball well. I don’t think they can win this game, but a back-door cover? Yes, I think that could very much be in the “cards”. I’m sorry, that was awful, but I am taking Arizona.

THE PICK: Arizona +12

Let’s cash these tickets, baby!
