What is...what is that supposed to solve? Is everyone still touching the same cards and chips? Yes? And everyone is wearing a mask? Ok cool. So the sneeze guard does....what exactly? Nothing. Nothing at all.
Ok I take that back. It is there to make it look like something is helping. The illusion of help. Like taking off your shoes at the airport. Nothing is being solved and you aren't safer but you are supposed to feel safer because of it.
I'm cool with 4 handed tables. I'd rather it be 6, but beggars can't be choosers. Give me half-rake and 3 nits and let's have a fucking day. I'll wear a mask, seems reasonable enough.
Oh and also a lot of people are talking about seeing your opponents' cards in the glare/reflection off the glass. It's probably unlikely, but I'm not 100% on that. If you peel your cards normally that shouldn't happen, but then again, I've never played behind a piece of plexiglass, so I can't be sure.
So I guess this is our future, huh? If only there was a way we could play behind a different screen. Maybe...a computer screen? FROM THE SAFETY OF OUR OWN HOUSES?
If fucking only.
