Lads…Let's bet some footy this morning and afternoon!

We head into the first Saturday with Premier League back in action down 7.54 units thanks to our 35-39-2 record on the pitch in 2020. The goal is to get that number in the positive before the Champions League is over in August.

Premier League

10:00 AM

Brighton +0.25 (-120): This is a bet against Arsenal as much as it is a bet on Brighton. They looked in poor form on Wednesday against Man City and sustained a shocking amount of injuries. Brighton has actually been the better team this season than Arsenal, even though they are further down in the table. According to expected points, Brighton should be 11th, while Arsenal should sit 14th. Brighton hasn't lost at home to Arsenal since 2017.

2:45 PM

Crystal Palace/Bournemouth o2.25 (-115): Both these defenses? They STINK. Do not be fooled by Crystal Palace only allowing 32 goals during this Premiership, their xGA is at 43.84. The only team that has been luckier than them on the defensive side of the ball has been Sheffield United. Bournemouth is worse than Crystal Palace on the defensive side, thanks to their 49.96 xGA. I expect goals here.

Serie A

1:30 PM

Parma Calcio 1913 +0.25 (-115): Not sure what I'm missing here? Parma is ahead of Torino in both points and expected points. Yes, this game is away, but we've seen across every league that has come back that the HFA isn't as big as it is when fans are there. Parma is overperforming and is lucky to be 9th in the Serie A table, but Torino is lucky to be 15th. I even considered taking Parma +220.

Bundesliga

9:30 AM

Dortmund/RB Leipzig u3 (-115): This bet is on both elite defenses. Since the return of Bundesliga, Dortmund & Leipzig have been allowing under 1 xGA per game. That's phenomenal. Both teams have scary offenses, but I think the defenses shine in this one. 1-1, or 2-0 final.

Frankfurt +130: Just think Frankfurt is the better team than FC Koln. They've been very good since the return of Bundesliga, ranking 4th in expected points in the past 7 matches. FC Koln won't be an easy matchup for them, but I've been riding Frankfurt (yeah, yeah, yeah, very funny) since the return of German soccer. Won't stop now.

Augsburg/Dusseldorf u2.5 (-115): Both these teams have barely scored over 1 xG per game since the return of Bundesliga and have barely conceded over 1 xG on defense. This is going to be a really boring game. 1-0 final.
