Tuesday Action Time: RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls

Giphy Images.

A 4-0 Monday is gonna bring out a Ric Flair "WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!". Montreal and Tampa Bay made relatively easy work of their opponents last night and the Bs made us earn our money but the wait was worth it (especially if you had a taste at -1.5). So let's keep it rolling tonight.

One of the biggest pre-season knocks on Chicago was that the team was going into the season without a #1 goalie. After Malcolm Subban and Collin Delia failed to grab the available crease reins, Finnish free agent signee Kevin Lankanen has stepped up and quietly become the hottest goalie in the National. He has started six of the last seven Blackhawks games and save for his first game, he's been exceptional. My guy Chief just wrote about him here. The Hawks are just two points out of first place in a super-tight Central. I know Carolina is a very good team and Reimer has been pretty good. But tonight, Lankanen will be better. So we are on Chicago +150. And if you can find Chicago on an alternate or reverse puck line at -1.5 +400, jump on that as well.

The Canadian (North) Division has had a shitload of high-scoring games. Most totals have been either 6 or 6.5. The best part of taking OVER 6 or 6.5, other than winning, is knowing that once the game gets to 3-3, you're a winner. Tonight in Winnipeg, the Jets and Flames will do it again after Calgary's 4-3 shootout win last night. Though the Flames haven't named their goalie yet, it's expected that David Rittich will be in for just his second start of the season. He gave up four goals on 21 shots in a loss to Montreal on Thursday and I don't know how sharp he'll be given his limited use so far. Winnipeg is starting #2 man Laurent Brossoit. This will be his third start of the year and he last played nine days ago. So yeah, we on OVER 6

We're gonna finish with a little Shits-n-Giggles® action. Edmonton loves to score goals. They also give up a lot of goals. In 8 of his 10 starts this year, Oilers goalie Mikko Koskinen has given up 3 or more goals. He's playing tonight and the Sens will have a bug up their ass after said ass got waxed 8-5 Sunday night by the Oilers. We are taking OVER 2.5 OTTAWA GOALS.

Good luck to all.

Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.

Arizona Coyotes @ St. louis Blues (ML -175 O/U 6)

Murls Take: Every game, the Blues are taking on the look of a team coached by a guy who is not one you want to get angry. They make other teams work for 60 minutes and work hard in every zone. Also for those who don't study maps, St. Louis is in Missouri which is also home to the KC Chiefs and they are in the Super Bowl, so we'll stick with that theme. Tampa did it for us last night so as Crash Davis said, “ Never mess with a win streak!”. Even with Biz painting his face maroon, the Coyotes won’t match up well.

Murls Pick: St Louis 4, Biz's Boys 1

Murley's Best Bet: St. Louis on three-way line -106 (means they must win in regulation)

Murley's Last Bet: Tampa three-way = Winner!!
