It's All Over Now: RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls

Giphy Images.

What's up, gang? We got a fresh sheet for the start of the week. I'm already sick of taking teams then ending up rooting for a breakaway contest after 65 minutes of game play. I think I've lost three shootouts already this season. So we're concentrating on O/Us tonight.

In Toronto, the Canucks and Maple Leafs will play each other for the third time in five nights. The Leafs won the first two games, 7-3 and 5-1. Vancouver has been atrocious all over the ice lately and goalie Braden Holtby is going through one of the roughest stretches of his career. He's starting tonight and has given up at least three goals in six of his seven starts. Freddie Andersen is 7-2-1 but he gives up his share of goals (at least three in four of his last five). So we are taking OVER 6.5 -125 and hoping the game is tied at three after the first period.

In Nashville, Tampa Bay goalie Curtis McElhinney gets his first start of the season and will see his first game action in 11 months. I don't care who it is, any player is going to be rusty after the long of a layoff. We don't know yet who is starting for the Preds tonight but it doesn't matter here. Nashville hasn't looked sharp this year and they'll have their hands full tonight. We are on OVER 5.5 -115 in this tilt. And we're also taking OVER 1.5 IN THE 1ST PERIOD -120.

Good luck to all.

Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Nashville Predators (ML +135, O/U 5.5)

Murls Take: I enjoyed the Super Bowl. Brady is such a legend and because of the heads call, it made for a profitable night. Now that the football season is over, it is time to make some real money on the NHL. Tampa watched the Super Bowl in a hotel and was probably wondering how crazy the town was. But being on the road I think is better as not to be distracted with all the celebrations. This is a great game of teams with a lot of star power. Nashville ranks bottom of the league with their PK and Tampa draws a lot of penalties as they roll four lines all night. Lets get ready for some end to end action.

Murls Pick: TB 5-2

Murley's Best Bet: OVER 5.5 -122

Murley's Last Bet: Heads in Superbowl — Winner
