The Preds had been one of the hottest team in the league and put themselves back into playoff contention until the Canes swept them. Looks for the Preds to get right back into the win column tonight vs. Chicago. Saros is in net and that's all I need to hear. We're on the Preds -140 for our main play. We're also throwing a lil sumpin' on Preds -1.5 +170.
I also like Minny to keep rolling in Arizona to keep ahead of the Yotes and Blues. So we're also taking the Wild -150 and a smaller play on -1.5 +170. And because it's Monday, we are also going to put in an Action Reverse using the puck lines (as opposed to money lines) so it's NAS -1.5/MIN -1.5. (An Action Reverse is a type of wager---it has nothing to do with reverse/alternate puck lines. Most shops offer but not all.)
Good luck to all.
Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.
Montreal Canadiens @ Edmonton Oilers (ML -136, o/u 6)
Murls Take: The Oilers have been trending under in games recently which shows their flexibility when they want to win. The Leafs dropping points to a team that has been in COVID protocol must have flashed across the board to the Oilers team room as a chance to gain some ground on the leaders. The facts are the Oilers are a faster and better team than the Canadiens. The Canadiens will get a boost with Price projected to start [ed note: Price is starting] but the Oilers get it done with a close one.
Murls Pick: Oilers 4, Canadiens 2
Murley's Best Bet: Oilers money line -136
