Trysta's Teasers: WNBA Picks For The Weekend (Sunday Update)

Bit of a cold streak, not gonna lie. Down bad. After three straight winning weekends, I’m 0-3 this so far. Gotta change things up today.

I’m sorry. This is like the beginning of the WNBA season. Just unacceptable. Gotta be better.

Three games on the schedule, fuck it. We’re betting them all (responsibly of course).

The first game has the Chicago Sky (-5 and o158) at Connecticut Sun. Chicago is HOT. 5-0 ATS and they are an over machine (5 of 7). Connecticut is 5-2 ATS and the under has hit in 5 of their last 7. But with Alyssa Thomas out for the Sun, I think they’ll have trouble against a very motivated Sky team. Both of these teams are good and I would rather take the O158 versus -5 because Sun have the ability to keep this close despite the trend.

THE PICK: Over 158

The match-up the year so far is the 4:00 game. Defending champs the Seattle Storm visit the Las Vegas Aces (-2.5, o170) in what will probably be a preview of the finals. Seattle is 10-2 ATS and the Aces 6-2. They’ve split two games and the only constant is they scored a ton of points in both -- 176 and 180. I expect a track meet today, too. I’m leaning Storm ML (+113) but I really like the over in this one.

THE PICK: Over 170

The final game is also a sneaky good match-up. The L.A. Sparks visit the Phoenix Mercury (-6.5 and o156). Both these teams STINK ATS of late. Do not like this line. But what I do like? THE OVER/UNDER. Do we have a good old fashioned WNBA Over Sunday? Been a hot minute since we’ve had one! They’ve played twice this year and split, so once again, I’m avoiding this trap line like the plague. I am worried, however, about the fact these are under LOCKS. I mean the Sparks are 11-5 on unders of late, and Phoenix is 7-3. At the risk of screwing my Over Sunday, I’m going under in this game. I’m thinking like 78-70.

THE PICK: Under 156

Another weekend of fun gambling on the WNBA. Smart gamblers know money knows no gender, so hate away. We’ll keep cashing checks.
