I Have A Better Win Percentage Than Brandon Walker: Friday Night Picks
I am usually not one to talk about a bad beat, but we need a moment of silence for the White Sox -1.5 bettors last night at the Field of Dreams game. That was just a disgusting beat... and I could see it coming the whole time in the 9th. I still have no idea why Hendriks challenged Judge instead of pitching around him to get to Gallo...but I don’t have a penis so I can‘t make those decisions.
It’s all good though. I am still ahead of Brandon Fucking Walker in the Picks Central (win percentage) standings. He’s called me the worst multiple times on the show, so that‘s a small W I’ll put in my pocket. I am questioning his units but will handle that internally. On to tonight.
Brewers -1.5 (-122)
The Brewers might be playing the best baseball out of anyone right now besides the Astros (no homer). I know dominating the depleted Cubs isn’t that impressive but they have quietly been doing this to teams all year. They have great pitching including the bullpen, and they mash. I know everyone wants to talk about the NL West and rightfully so, but the Brewers will be a tough out in the Playoffs.
Today they face off against the Pirates and Mitch Keller. Keller has just gotten rocked all year and I don‘t see that changing against this Brewers lineup. The Brew Crew counter with Brett Anderson who has been dealing as of late only giving up two runs in his last three games. One of those games being against the Pirates where he threw six shut out innings. Not a huge fan of playing run lines but they are the away team which guarantees all nine at bats. Give me the Brewers -1.5
Cardinals ML (-137)
You will rarely see me lay anything over -135 juice but this Cardinals ML was too hard to pass on. Would like to preface this by saying I am not a huge fan of a pitcher making his first start coming off the DL (fuck your IL), but this is a bit different. Flaherty has been stretched out pretty well in his rehab starts and doesn’t plan to have any limitations in this game, especially with the Cardinals playing an AL team and Flaherty not having to bat.
With that being said I have no idea why this line is -137. Flaherty is the Cards ace and they need every win they can get at this point. It’s not like Mike Minor for the Royals has been on fire, his last start came against the Cardinals last week and he gave up four earned in five innings. If this is bait I am baiting. Cardinals ML and not thinking twice about it.
Astros -1.5 (+106)
This one is easy. The Astros are the best team in all of baseball. Now their bullpen looks solidified with Graveman and they are going to win the World Series. You can currently get them at +500 to win it all on the Barstool Sportsbook and I suggest you hammer that (responsibly).
Greinke has been solid against the Angels this year. He’s faced them twice and in both games he pitched deep into the game going 7 innings and only giving up two runs. The Astros hit Sandoval well, and even if they don’t get to him much the Angels have a terrible bullpen and the Astros are the best team in baseball. Give me the Astros -1.5.
