Buccaneers Best Bets vs. Rams - A Closer Look At Game Props

The Buccaneers battle the Rams in a battle of undefeateds in the NFC in FOX's America's Game of the Week. It's always a rush when you hear Joe Buck & Troy Aikman on that call and there are is good reason why. Once the Rams made the blockbuster move to go get Matthew Stafford, they started the clock on their Championship window. With two blue chippers on Defense in Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, they need to win now. Hopefully it's not at the expense today of my Buccaneers. This will be the 3rd matchup in the last three years with these teams and all games have been exciting. Based on that matchup history, here are my favorite props I like for today via the Barstool Sportsbook:

Chris Godwin OVER 70.5 yards receiving

Antonio Brown is OUT vs. today with the Rams after being placed on the COVID/reserved list. Last year vs. the Rams Godwin finished with 10 targets, 7 catches, 53 yards and a TD. But looking closer, their Defensive Coordinator last year, Brandon Staley is with the Chargers now. So looking at (their current DC) Raheem Morris-led Defense from last year (Atlanta), Godwin averaged 84.5 yards per game with 3 total TDs in two games. Brown out also frees up 231 receiving total yards from those Atlanta games. With Jalen Ramsey expected to be on Mike Evans a lot, look for Chris Godwin to be Brady's safety net today.

Tom Brady OVER 2.5 passing TDs

Don't overthink this one. The guy has 9 passing TDs in two games this year.

I'm going with a parlay of these two you can ride with here:

*Other plays I like but am not betting myself:

OVER 55.0

In 2020, there were 51 points scored, but that was with Jared Goff at QB and Tom Brady and the Bucs not hitting their stride on Offense yet. They did just a few short weeks after that and now have broken the record for consecutive wins scoring 30+ points in a row with nine. Oh, by the way, when these teams played in 2019, there were 95 total points scored.

Gronk to score a Touchdown

Another don't overthink. With Jalen Ramsey on Mike Evans, it'll be tougher to get it to him. Gronk has 4 TDs in two games. He may surpass his season long O/U of 5.5 spikes today.

I am never EVER going to bet on a player to do well against the Bucs, but some nuggets for the readers out there:

Cooper Kupp has averaged 10 catches for 133 yards in his last two matchups vs. this Todd Bowles Buccaneers defense. His O/U for receiving yardage today is 83.5.

Robert Woods has averaged 12.5 catches for 147 yards in his last two matchups vs. this Todd Bowles Buccaneers defense. His O/U for receiving yardage today is 63.5 yards.

Jared Goff has averaged 446.5 passing yards in his last two matchups vs. this defense. Matthew Stafford is quite a sizeable upgrade and his O/U for passing yardage is 306.5.

Hopefully this was helpful for anyone looking to add some sizzle on the game. I'll definitely be rooting for my bets, but it's always Go Bucs!
