Rico Bosco's Super Bowl Prop Bets
Giphy Images.The Super Bowl has been good to me at this company. I backed the Patriots a few different times on short lines, including bigger bets vs The Seahawks and Falcons and got two exciting finishes for wins. I got to watch last year's Super Bowl in L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles, while also seeing Ben Mintz perform a halftime show.
The best of all was in 2021 when I won 50k in The Big Game Live Betting Showdown, despite efforts at the end to have me believe I lost.
Been a good run of Super Bowls. Can't deny that. It's my hope to continue the run of good times, by delivering a winning day on Sunday. I have stated from the get go, I'm on the Chiefs +2.5 from the minute it opened. I respect the Eagles even though their fans show no respect to Santa Claus. But I am willing to admit they have been impressive this year.
With that said, the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, the best in the league with a + sign in front of him. I'm willing to back the best in the game, even with him and his side banged up to gut out a victory. If I get proven wrong, so be it.
One of the most enjoyable things about The Super Bowl are the props. There's a ton of them, and it adds to the game's fun as well as being able to hone in on one player, or one wacky play to collect a big payout. For example a successful 2 point conversion at any point is +240. There's a ton of these out there like there are every year, and it adds to the spectacle of this game.
I've dabbled in the prop game and have been grinding all week , putting aside all "other stuff" to hopefully get some winners on the Barstool Sportsbook.
Without further ado here's my list of props for Sunday in order of confidence :
Patrick Mahomes OVER 294.5 Passing Yards -112
Mahomes is 12-8 to this Over on the Year and in what I expect to be an up and down game, Mahomes should be slinging it. I'm on the OVER here.
Pacheco OVER 15.5 Recieving Yards -114
Insert the Patty checkdown jokes but I don't care. I like how he's been targeted the last few weeks, and I think Reid has some play calls with dump offs etc. 1 big catch and we're good.
Over 3.5 Field Goals +143
Been on this in as many Monday and Thursday night games as they have played. Don't overthink this one. Over
Mahomes OVER 2.5 Passing and Rushing Touchdowns +128
I think he may hit this through the air alone, but it's nice to have an additional option if he breaks one in on a sneak or a scramble. I know that ankle is questionable, but this guy makes plays. I 100% could see a broken play rushing touchdown.
Either Team To Commit A Roughing The Passer Penalty +145
The NFL loves protecting QB's . This one seems like it makes no sense why it's + money, which makes me hate it but don't overthink plus signs.
Game To Be Tied Again After 0-0 YES -125
Close game spread, this one seems like it should be juiced much more.
Total Players To Make A Reception (Including Overtime) OVER 14.5 -106
The Eagles will give us about 5-6 guys here, but the Chiefs spread it around like a charity game. They may have a guy out of the stands catch a pass.
Time Of First Scoring Play 8:59 or less left in Quarter 1 -155
Everyone wants to strike first, but both sides will be calculated in their attacks. I think the nerves set in for at least 6 minutes before a score.
QB Kneel Final Play NO +148
Chasing the plus money on this one with a spicy payout. In a close game, maybe we catch a team with just a handful of seconds left running the lateral play, or maybe a field goes through as time expires, or maybe it's a blowout and the team down big has the ball to end the game, either way at almost a 1.5 to 1 payout, I'm on this one.
