NASCAR Chicago Is Finally Here

ICYMI: NASCAR Is Racing On The Streets of Chicago

This Sunday at 5:30pm est on NBC NASCAR will run on a brand new street course in downtown Chicago.

Festivities include concerts by The Chainsmokers, Miranda Lambert, The Black Crowes, and Charley Crockett. Tickets are still available but going fast so move quick!

Look at this scene:

NASCAR has been hosting events all week leading up to this weekend's festivities including a Block Party hosted by Bubba Wallace and Lupe Fiasco that appears to have had several thousand guests.

Then tonight the Cubs are hosting NASCAR Night at Wrigley Field where they will give out these awesome Chicago themed race bobbleheads.

Then tomorrow it's Alex Bennett's 30th Birthday Party at Barstool River North. I still haven't been invited but this sounds like a blast.

Large, myself, and Alex will be joined by Hank and the Chicago guys as we continue to bring new faces to the races.

Last week we had first timer Tommy Smokes join us and the Bussin squad for a great weekend at #NASHCAR. Check out the thread our full coverage below.

Listen to Rubbin is Racing where Large, Quigs, Liam and I break down NASHCAR and preview this weekend's Grant Park 220.

Here are the odds via Barstool Sportsbook:

Call me chalky but keep eyes out for:

-Martin Truex Jr +800 who won this season at the Clash (NASCAR's 2nd newest track), Dover, and most importantly a road course race Sonoma.

-Tyler Reddick +700 who won @ COTA, another road course earlier this season. Despite finishing 33rd @ Sonoma, he's won 3 of the last 6 road course races.

-Chase Elliott +600 has 7 career wins on road courses in 26 starts and is usually a factor on road courses despite his recent struggles.

-AJ Allmendinger +1000 is a 2 time Cup series winner with both coming on similar tracks(Watkins Glen, Indy RC) He should be able to hold his own against those above in better equipment.

And while many have been critical of NASCAR's efforts leading up to this event, the early reception seems to be great. According to the ticket sales database, 70% of those in attendance will be watching their first NASCAR race. So even if you're not a race fan, get a ticket asap or tune in to NBC Sunday at 5:30pm est.

See y'all at the track #NeverLift
